BERLIN ON FILM

A few weeks ago now I headed to Berlin with work. That did mean there wasn’t too much free time but I did try my best to squeeze in a few of your recommendations. From what I did see, I’m dying to go back. What an amazing city. Plus we were super lucky with the weather too, with temperatures staying in the mid 20’s, perfect for exploring.

Places to check out in Berlin.

Morning coffee at Five Elephant Mitt was perfect for sitting outside watching the world go by. I’ve also been told it does an amazing cheesecake too. (thanks Brit)
Situated on a great street for shopping however unfortunately (or fortunately), the shops didn’t open until 11 am, meaning my purse was saved this time around.

Another great spot for coffee, in a calm quiet space. The Black Isle bakery of London. Minimal vibes, great coffee and a lemon drizzle to hit the sweet spot. Black Isle coffee is the perfect escapism a stone’s throw away from Tchoban Foundation – Museum of architectural drawing.

Shopping in Berlin

Next on the agenda, two of my favourite things; Magazines and photography.
Do You Read Me is a lovely magazine and bookshop, situated in Auguststraße, not far from KW Institute for Contemporary Art.
A 5-minute walk away was Click & Surr, such a class camera shop where I picked up some new film. if you’re into photography really worth a visit. Small but perfectly formed.

Others shops I want to visit next time, Alex Eagle & Voo Store.

Where to eat in Berlin

For dinner, one of my favourite places went for dinner was Spindler. The food here was amazing, especially as we got to eat outside in the courtyard. The seasonal menu is modern and French-inspired, so you’ll not find any schnitzel here but highly recommend.

And that’s it from Berlin, short but sweet. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to explore too much but that’s a good excuse to head back soon. Would love to hear more recommendations from you guys in preparation for next time.
