GOING OUT OUT: PARTY DRESSING WHEN YOU DON'T USUALLY DRESS UP

We all know I’m not one for party dressing or dressing up, this must be why I’m still struggling to find a wedding dress. With a Christmas party looming and NYE on the way, I’ve been forced to find outfits which will see me through the next few weeks.

This first look is something I feel totally comfortable wearing, even though it’s a SEQUIN shirt and not dressed down at all. I absolutely love that & Other Stories has taken something really casual like an open collar shirt and made it out of sequinned stripes. I’m wearing it with the most flattering Zara black trousers, honestly so surprised at how nice quality they are and my Zara sandals which I hope channel the By Far version I so desperately wanted.

Next, this amazing wrap dress from Free People. Super comfy, it's made from stretchy lurex. Again it’s pretty sparkly but I think in a more subtle way than full-on sequins. I’ve also kept it the accessories really simple and chic with the most beautiful ring which my pal Lindsey designed in collaboration with Roxanne First. It’s so dainty and incredible, really worth checking out her selection of floating diamonds for something a little different this Christmas.

Of Course, I couldn’t do a blog post without a pair of jeans. Don’t worry, I’m focusing on this cute clip I picked up from Accessorize. I had spotted this style on a few people recently but wanted to try it out before splashing on anything too expensive. This little beauty I think was about £5 and I love that I can just add this and look like I’ve made more effort than just wearing jeans.

A new addition and something I've wanted for a while, a pair of leather trousers. This pair is from & Other Stories and absolute love the crop straight leg. I wanted to dress them down with a chunky knit but please note - do not wear this combo when indoors with the heating on and the fire is lite. I was MELTING. Ross Geller style.

I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas x
