MY GREECE TRAVEL DIARY WITH MONSOON

This week Simon and I headed to Greece for a few days in the sun visiting the island of Kos. This was our first time taking a lounge-by-the-pool kind of trip and it was bliss. All that was needed was a good book (Heart Burn by Nora Ephron) and a suitcase filled with Monsoon’s latest collection.

This blog post is in collaboration with Monsoon on their Travel Diaries series which you can check out over on their website here.

We stayed at two beautiful hotels in Greece. The first was The Lango design hotel, a perfect little hideaway with a modern style. I think there were about 60 rooms, making it super chilled and quiet. The second was Casa Cook, which had more of a boho vibe so beautifully finished in every way. Although a lot bigger, it felt very secluded. We hardly saw any people apart from the few dotted around the pool which was amazing. I'll definitely share more on the hotels soon.

Lazy mornings

Days start with breakfast, followed by a morning dip and the rest spent by the pool. A great bikini with an oversized shirt is the outfit of choice (I’ve lived in this Monsoon one all week!) It’s slightly oversized and lightweight and even better doesn’t seem to crease too much which means no ironing needed.

For those short walks from the pool to the lounger (and of course other days walking further) these embroidered slides were super cute and something a little different from my usual tan options. I’ll be wearing them back home paired with a white tee and my trusty jeans.

Beach Days

When we weren’t laying around the pool we opted for … laying by the beach! The beach calls for breezy dresses to take you from day to sunset as you don’t have the option of popping back to your room to change. This dress was a perfect answer to that. I could pop it over a bikini and be slightly more dressed up for heading to a restaurant in the town for lunch. Love the broderie and the tie shoulder details.

Afternoons exploring

As you can see we don’t stray too far; an afternoon spent in Kos but mostly exploring areas such as the spa, the bar and the beach. This jumpsuit was the perfect throw on and go. Again, always opting for lightweight linen. I think it would work equally well for a warm city break and for when I’m back in London.

No holiday is complete without a basket bag and I may have packed 3 or 4. Oops. This one however actually held more stuff, cameras, phone, purse and all that other stuff you really don’t need when on holiday.

Sundowners

My favourite time of day when the sun starts to set and you’re sipping on an ice cold drink of choice. This could possibly be my new favourite dress; I spotted it a while back in gingham and before I knew it was sold out. This time I nabbed it in this seersucker fabric, but honestly could have it in all prints and colours.

This style seems to sell out super quick but i've spotted the stripe linen version which is also great.

In Collaboration With Monsoon but all love for holidays and clothes my own.
