POSTCARDS FROM PUGLIA

If you caught my last post you’ll see we headed to Puglia a few weeks back. Situated in the heel of Italy's "boot" it has a slow pace vibe, stunning beaches, great food and picturesque little villages. It was a really special trip not only because it was my first time to that part of the world but our close friends were also getting married.

For our first few nights, we stayed at their beautiful wedding location of Masseria Moroseta. I don’t think they do weddings there often so it felt extra special to get to stay and experience it all dressed so beautifully on the day. The nearby town of Ostuni was great for some pre-wedding drinks and food.

After the wedding, we moved to a new hotel, La Peschiera which I shared in my last post.

Polignano A Mare

A great hotel and handy to lots of places we wanted to visit.  One of my favourite little towns we went to that weekend, Polignano A Mare. There was an amazing restaurant situated just beside the bridge, I stupidly didn’t write down the name but sussing out on google maps I think it might be called: Al Buco Preferito Tranquillage. It served some amazing sizzlingly gnocchi that I can’t get out of my head.  So delicious. And of course, there are picturesque views of the bridge and beaches.

Alberobello

We couldn’t go to Puglia without visiting Alberobello, known for its Trulli. A small town filled with little-whitewashed stone houses. It’s pretty touristy, contrary to some of my empty photos. Lots of quaint little shops here and plenty of places to grab food and a coffee.

That's it for Puglia, super picturesque and relaxed (unless you're the driver driving in Puglia, sorry Simon but hiring a car really worth it in the end).  Like all trips lately, too short but really sweet and another one to add to my list to visit again.
