WHERE TO STAY IN CYPRUS: ALMYRA HOTEL

1.jpg

With 4 and a half hours to fill, I got to work on editing and writing about my recent trip to Cyprus, literally on the flight home...no time like the present am I right? On Sunday I was very lucky to head to Paphos, Cyprus with Jigsaw and Chic Retreats to check out the Almyra hotel. Even better, I got to go with lovely company. Lizzy, Lindsey, Erica and Kat.

Almyra Hotel

Suitcase packed we landed late Sunday evening (just in time for a nightcap) and straight to bed. Up bright and breezy to check out the amazing spa, sample some delicious breakie and spend the day at 1 of 3 swimming pools. Bliss. The hotel also boasts 6 restaurants and we tried quite a few. Highly recommend the Ouzeri restaurant, serving Cypriot specialities. In utter heaven, I had all the Halloumi (and much more) with views looking out to sea. Other lovely moments, sundowners on the roof. There’s just something about a golden hour which soothes the soul.[/vc_column_text]

Having never been to Cyprus before it was nice to add a little culture to the trip and on Tuesday we had a guided tour of the archaeological park, then it was on to lunch at Koutourou in the old town...definitely worth a visit. The menu changes every day to feature fresh ingredients and it was absolutely delicious,  set in a vintage-style cafe with really cool decor.
