HELLO NYC

Dreaming of New York City. It seems like ages since I’ve been blogging but I’m back – with and overload of America posts. If you follow my instagram you will have been inundated with photos for our recent trip to the USA. We did a bit of a mini road trip down the east coast but our first stop was NYC.With a travel guide on the way here’s a little outfit post from NYC and taster of what’s coming soon. I spotted this Zara Dress before we left and thought it was a good transitional piece for walking around the city, midi length with long sleeves in quite a thick material. I wasn’t really predicting how warm it would actually be in September but the dress worked out great.

Jack's Wife Freda

Somewhere I had already pencilled in for NYC for brunch was Jack’s Wife Freda – merely for the sugar sachets but check out my breakfast sandwich. No ordinary sandwich, this is a pressed sandwich with duck prosciutto, cheddar béchamel, gruyere & a sunny side up egg – blooming marvellous.

Situated in one of my favourite areas of Soho and the west villages this a must for any NYC visit.

The High Line

Owned by the City of New York, the High Line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side. It runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street, between 10th and 12th Avenues. As we had both been to NYC before we were determined to try new places and this was on our list. It can be quite busy but perfect for seeing the city from a different perspective.thehighline.org

Dream's Hotel Downtown NYC

For our first two nights we cosied up in Dreams Hotel Downtown – now this was fannnnnnncy. Perfectly decorated with a ceiling that looked into the roof top pool and a bed like a giant cloud. Just what the doctor ordered to cure the jetlag. Plus with a selection of restaurants and nightclub – you won’t need to leavedreamhotels.com
