The start of summer has me reaching for new beauty products. I find that my skin changes a lot so I have to think about mixing my products up, even down to different foundation I use.

A few picks I’ve been trying out lately which I would definitely recommend.

First up, make up and a new lipstick from YSL. Rose Volute Shine is perfect for summer days – really lightweight and moisturising. Made from oil to give it that hydrating feel on the lips but still with surprisingly full colour.

As I’m sure you’re aware one of my favorite skincare brands is Elemis, so when their new Skin Energising system popped through the door I was very excited. It sounded exactly what I needed for my dull winter face.

I have always been a bit weary of wash off cleansers (I normally use balms or creams) that leave my skin feeling tight and squeaky but this didn’t dry my face at all, like most of the Elemis range it always feels quite natural and agrees with my skin type. The moisturiser could also be a new favorite. I find, as my skin is quite dry I go for really heavy hydration that leaves my make up sliding off my face but this has been the best of both. Highly recommend.

I recently received a great beauty box from Liberty, filled with amazing lotions and potions but two products which really stood out to me where the Bare Biology, lion heart omega capsules (to help to improve my skin) and Aduna – Baobab super fruit powder, which I have been adding to my morning smoothies for an extra boost. Something I want to think more about when looking at my skin and thinking more about my diet as well.

Also in the box was this Ren instant firming beauty shot, which I’ve been applying after I wash my face under my foundation, a gel-serum that is meant to firm and plumps the skin to leave it looking dramatically smoother, tighter and more youthful. Here’s hoping.

And finally a body scrub that doesn’t leave me feeling like I lost a layer of skin. Part of their Spa range, The White Company have this great skin brightening scrub. Perfect for every day shower fun.
