WHERE TO STAY IN PALMA: HOTEL CORT

1.jpg

When people ask me "where should I stay when I visit Mallorca" I'm always a bit taken aback. I've never stayed in a hotel there before. Until now. Design Hotels is a really great website if like me you're into the aesthetic of a hotel. It's my go-to for checking out design-driven hotels and get inspired where to go next.Hotel Cort is situated in the city of Palma,  an area which has seen a huge redevelopment over the past few years or so. With lots of cool bars and restaurants opening nearby. With only 16 rooms and suites, this has a real boutique feel. There is a perfect outdoor table area situated on Plaça Cort, facing the oldest olive tree. As I sat drinking my Aperol spritz I remembered a photo we took here almost 10 years ago, on what would've been Simons first trip to Palma. In the photo I'm actually sat in that olive tree, that was before it got cordon off. ha! And probably before Hotel Cort was even built I think. The rooms are so beautiful with some boasting their own terrace. Ours had a beautiful view of the square (which even with the hustle and bustle was quiet) with an amazing green sofa I wanted to steal. There's a small communal roof terrace which is the perfect city escape.  Highly recommend a visit to both Mallorca and Hotel Cort.
