WHERE TO STAY IN PUGLIA: LA PESCHIERA HOTEL

Back from an amazing few days in Puglia and while it's fresh in my memory I'm frantically writing up two blog posts. The next being 'what to do when you get here' but for now, check out where we stayed.
La Peschiera Hotel. A beautiful hotel on the Adriatic Sea in Monopoli. With a private beach, SEVEN pools and a seafood restaurant, we really couldn't go wrong with the few days we spent here.

Our room had a seafront view of where we had breakfast each morning. Waking up to this on your doorstep was pretty much heaven. However, let's not mention the morning I couldn't quite work out the menu and ordered two hot foamy glasses of milk instead of two lattes... La Peschiera is a short drive from all the locations you want to visit. Polignano a Mare is dreamy, Alberobello you'll find the Trulli & of course, Monopoli nearby.
But if you don't fancy straying too far, the hotel has it's own private beach, plenty of pools and a spa to keep you relaxed/entertained. Plus the restaurant was super tasty.

Formerly a fish hatchery, La Peschiera has 13 rooms arranged around a complex of pools, seven of them... just in case you fancy a change. (one for each day?) We had our own little garden at the front which caught the sun in the evenings and as the hotel is very small, we didn't see many other guests which made it super quiet and relaxed.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend if you're in the market for a super relaxing sun weekend.
