WHERE TO STAY IN LONDON: THE HOXTON SOUTHWARK
Hello all, long time no speak... I'm finally getting around to sharing some images of our amazing stay at The Hoxton Southwark, we were very kindly given a complimentary stay.
It’s such a treat to stay close to home especially when we currently live in an Air B&B (long story). Having stayed at their other hotels in London, Paris and Amsterdam - it’s fair to say I’m already a huge fan.
I was so excited to hear of the opening of Southwark, right by the river and with a roof top restaurant (Seabird). It's an area of London I don't know very well and didn't realise how close it was to great spots. I love borough market and The old vic etc
Like all of the Hoxton Hotels, we spent most of our time taking photos of the decor and discussing how we could implement the amazing designs in our own home (if we ever get one).I loved the bathroom tiles and the exposed concrete. The beds are super comfy and made extra great with a late night room service of croque monsieur and chips. Ha!
There’s something about the hotel that immediately reminds me of Brooklyn. I haven’t stayed at the Hoxton Williamsburg hotel yet but the vibe just reminds me of the area so much. The lobby, always buzzing with people checking in and out but also sitting having drinks and food in the Albie restaurant.
The food in the ground floor restaurant Albie is amazing but for a little more drama head to the 14th floor, for the Hoxton's first rooftop restaurant in London, Seabird offering incredible city views. They've also started an amazing brunch menu with live music. We got the opportunity to try this out on the Sunday, the views were beautiful across London in the sunshine and the atmosphere was great.
