THE LAST DRESSES OF SUMMER
The sunshine may be dwindling but it’s still pretty humid here in London. And with a few more mini trips to go in the next month I’m holding on to summer for a little longer. This is my excuse anyway to buy new dresses.
First up this Realisation Par dress that I purchased during the Selfridges pop up. Having always been uncertain of my size it gave me the perfect opportunity, plus I had gathered up some vouchers for my birthday. It was the shape of this dress which had me sold. I love the button front and the ruffle straps which just add a point of difference. I opted for a small in the end.
]Rixo is another brand that I always look to for something a little different. The prints are always on point and the cut of the dress seems to fit me quite well. I’ve seen a few high street brands trying to do something similar but never quite as good in my eyes. They do a lot of dresses with sleeves and in a midi length which is perfect for transitioning into winter. I love wearing this type of dress with trainers but it could easily be dressed up with heels too.
HVN is a new brand on my radar, but I'm obsessed with the prints and vintage silhouettes. Made from silk it feels amazing on the skin. I normally push bare legs for as long as possible but shorter dresses can easily be reworked with tights and a big chunky knit.
