WARDROBE STAPLES: THE TRENCH COAT

Now that autumn has officially arrived i've been getting so much more wear out of my new trench coat. I actually bought back in August after kindly getting a voucher for my birthday. Having spied it a few months prior in APC and probably hinting majorly; it didn't take much convincing to know how to spend my winnings. The trench is definitely a wardrobe staple, it literally can be thrown over anything in my wardrobe. I've always struggled to find one that fitted well, either being too structured and uncomfortable or not so great fabric.

The investment piece.

Every now and again I’ll save up and treat myself. Or if I’m lucky all the family club together to help me purchase something a little more pricey. I like to call them 'my investment pieces'.At Christmas, it was my Gucci loafers and prior was my leather jacket. Next on the hit list was this trench coat from APC. When it comes to more ‘designer’ or expensive items I tend to opt for more classic items, such as black loafers or a wardrobe staple trench coat. Something I hopefully won’t get tired of too soon. (That’s’ my excuse anyway and I’ll stick to it.)
