WHERE TO STAY IN MARRAKECH: EL FENN
It’s been two weeks since we returned from our Marrakech adventure but it’s the holiday that keeps on giving. I’ve so much love for this hotel, I’ve given it it’s own dedicated post.
EL FENN
I first spotted El Fenn on Reem's instagram and knew straight away I had to visit and it didn't disappoint. El Fenn is a must-stay when visiting Marrakech. A beautiful riad with only 28-rooms – plus home to the cutest little resident tortoises. It’s the perfect escape from the bustling streets of the city; tree-filled courtyards, walls adorned and picturesque pools.
This place feels like home (if the home is a huge perfectly designed Riad with three pools and a spa) there are no "proper" locks on doors, instead, you can lock away anything valuable in a safe but doors cant be locked from the outside. It's like a home from home. Exploring the hotel is encouraged and wow is there a lot to explore.
We had a large room, painted in my favourite colour of turquoise, which opened to the orange tree courtyard (hammock included). Homemade granola and fresh croissants were served every morning setting us up for a day of exploring ...or lounging by the pool.
We also met up with Boutique Souk while at El Fenn, you might recognise the name as Reem's wedding planners. Not only does Rossana come from my home Island, she has the most inspirational story. Turns out she knows a thing or two about visiting the city. A huge thank you to Rossana who gave me so many tips and recommendation I now need to go back for another holiday
