WHERE TO STAY MALLORCA: HOTEL ES PORT

It feels like a dream now, and something that might not have ever happen due to the pandemic but last week was spent back in Mallorca. One of my favourite places for a very special day. My brother’s wedding.

We have been going to the island since we were kids, so staying in hotels is definitely a luxury and something I haven’t experience much of, (check out hotels in Palma here and here) but this time I booked into Hotel es Port which is located North West of the island in Soller. The journey from Palma airport takes about 35mins.

I couldn’t recommend the hotel enough for location, it seems really secluded with lovely views of the Tramuntana mountains but only a 5 minute walk to the port, restaurants, and beaches. The Hotel is located in a fortified 17th-century mansion surrounded by lovely gardens. There’s a spa and 3 big tennis courts, for those who are slightly more active than I was… (The height of my exercise was walking the steps to and from the pool.)

The only thing I would point out is that I was surprised it wasn’t adults only and I would say the service was quite slow for lunch or getting drinks but this could just be down to capacity given the circumstances but where possible the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Overall though I’m already plotting how I can make it back already
